Bug

Need support for configurable queue depth Windows VIC driver CSCul53603

Summary

Working on an 5108 deployment integrating with EMC XtremIO via Fiber Channel (FC) & HyperV.  Typically with XtremIO we modify the HBA queue depth parameters per EMC recommendations for XtremIO.   Per EMC:

"For Cisco UCS FNIC, the I/O Throttle setting determines the total number of outstanding I/O requests per virtual HBA.

For optimal operation with XtremIO storage, it is recommended to adjust the queue depth of the FC HBA. With Cisco UCS FNIC, it is also recommended to adjust the I/O Throttle setting to 1024."

The issue with this recommendation is that per bug CSCul53603 "The configurable queue depth option is not available for Windows drivers but is available for RHEL / ESXi.

Question

Is there a way to modify queue depth for a Windows/HyperV Server 2012 R2 environment with 2.2(2c)?

If there is not currently a way to modify queue depth would it still be recommended to configure I/O Throttle Count to 1024?
