Hi,

I am interesting in buy one router 1941AX-/K9 but I have several questions.

I read that the perfomance is up to 25 Mbps. However, my ISP connection has a bandwitch up to 150 Mbps. Is not possible use all this bandwitch? Do I need one superior router?

Regards.

You'll only get bout 50mb max , that's total aggregate of router backplane here's a better doc go to bottom of it

Oh sorry I miss read that long Monday I thought you picked the 19 , not the 4321 :)

here's the correct doc for you , license below what you would need to buy for upgrade from 50-100

for a 150mbp wan circuit you need a 4331 router with 300mbps license, see attached guide

the problem is that this router cost moreless 2000€. Which is the best choice close of 1000€?

Regards.

whats the bandwidth up and down ? you wont have many options at that price maybe 2900 series there going eol though but you probably wont get your full wan speed with that or near it

as you can see from sheet I provided in first post the 4331 is the lowest option for a 100mb and if you have that each way you need the 300 license

You could look at older models 38 and 3900 series too

Thanks Mark,

thanks for your reply. However I don´t understand one issue.

I read in this picture

Cisco 1941 has 2932 Mbps?

Ok, Thanks.

Hi,

I have choosen the option

ISR4321/K9 with 100 Mbps upgrade. Which license I should to buy?

I have 2 ports but I want that this router do only NAT functions. Will I find any problem with this router?

I ask this question if I will find any problem that I am not thinking.

Regards.

NAT is a standard feature on all routers so should work on even base layer license that comes with it but you should look at this link below and check what your going to configure on your device against the license required , it has all the details for 1900 series

Thanks for the answer.

However I see that 4321 the perfomance is 50 Mbps upgradable to 100 Mbps ...

How Could I upgrade this performance? any special license?

Regards.

You cant , there totally different routers different architecture setup, the 1900 series don't have that ability to upgrade throughput through license you get what you buy , 4ks are much more powerful devices

I refer to the model ISR4321 which license I could upgrade 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps.

Yes, it does. However, that's just moving 1500 byte packets without any features enabled. Throughput drops as packet size decreases and/or as features are enabled.

For example, 330 Kpps for 64 byte packets equals about 169 Mbps, quite a drop from 2,932 Mbps. Also, the 330 Kpps is also without features enabled.

Further, this throughput is aggregate, i.e. a duplex link could use double the link's bandwidth. The referenced whitepaper does further break down some ISR routers' performance under different usages.

The 4K ISRs have built-in shapers that try to always guarantee the rated bandwidth. The prior generations maximum throughput can vary very much.
