1GB port negotiation with IBM Broadcom NetXtreme

We are having difficulty getting IBM Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet cards (driver ver. 9.56.0) to negotiate 1000/full with 4500 and 6500 Cats.

Switch info:

6509, s72033-jk9sv-mz.122-18.SXD6, X6748-GE-TX

4506, cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-25.SG, 4548-GB-RJ45

The ports will autonegotiate 100/full but not 1000/full. The NetXtreme cards cannot be configured for 1000/full, only auto (or speed/duplex combinations less that 1000)

Anyone experience this problem?

We had this problem with Intel cards, I believe the problem was fixed with a new driver for the Intel Card.
