2924 catalyst switch - access from console port

I have 2924 catalyst switch. Since last two weeks I cant access the swicth from its console port. No response comes to the terminal from the switch. Proper cable was used and speed setting on the terminal was also according to the speed set on the console port.

Is it due to hardware fault with the console port or something else? How to overcome this situation?

Hello,

unless you have TELNET access to the switch and issue the command ´clear line con 0´, only a reboot of the switch can clear the line.
