Hi all,
I have an issue with a 3524Xl switch that traffic on port 1 seems to get CRC's when running over 4 meg per second.
The same conenction made to another port doesn't have this as an issue.
version of IOS, c3500xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC10.bin
I seem to recall being told that port 1 on these switches has a load limitation due to design, ie it is also shared for LED and snmp functions hence may not have the cpu allocation of other port.
Anyone heard of this?
this is the second switch with the same setup to have this. the other site the work around was to move to another a port, This will require an outage and my customer is after some documented proof that this will fix the problem before it is done.
Thanks
Chris

Are u in a position to test this on another 3524, fa0/1 ? The problem with load you are describingfor fa0/1, seems new to me, thought I could be wrong...I have never heard of it.
