4500 router modules

Good Day,

I have a 4500m router with the six port ethernet module. I am getting a second one and am thinking of putting the module in the new one.

I haven't been able to find any documentation of this process.

Is it just plug and play?

Hello,

all the switching modules, as well as the supervisors, in the 4500 are hot-swappable and indeed basically plug-and-play, you do not need to configure anything on the switch to have the module (the 6-port in your case) recognized by the switch, just verify that it is after you are done with the installation, with the ´show module´ command.
