7200 NPE-100 PCMCIA flash

I hope to upgrade the IOS of cisco 7200, that IOS size is over 20Mbytes.

but the 7200 can't use over 20M PCMCIA flash.

i know that 7200 have two slot for the PCMCIA.

now i wonder that each slot could be merged one(20M + 20M = 40M).....

if impossible, is there any other way ?

I think it's not possible to merge 2 PCMCIA slots.

may be you can upgrade your PCMCIA flash to 32 MB or keep that IOS in TFTP server and boot the router via TFTP server

Use ATA flash instead. One of the larger vendors is Sandisk. The flash will show up as disk0: instead of slot0:.
