Hi folks,
Someone knows if in the Lan switching environment, with STP topology, when a device like a switch has a port ethernet connected by a UTP cable in a Access point Wireless, this port should be in spanning port fast disable, because the AP considered a bridge?
I have a Lan switching environment with BPDU guard configured in my switches, and sometimes, some ports are desabled by errdisable bpdu, and I guess this is because someone try to connect in some available port a AP.
Any help is welcome.

If on any portfast enable port you configure BPDU guard so BPDU coming on that port will put the port in errdisable mode.

Hi,
If it is a cisco`s AP, then you should not enable portfast on the switchport, because it also participates in STP. AP also acts like a wireless switch.
BPDU guard are generally applied alongwith portfast on the ports where desktops and servers are connected, so that if anyone by mistake connect any AP or switch in that "desktop port" then switch will recieve a BPDU from that device and switch will put that port in errdisable(blocked) to prevent looping.
pls update for further queries.
