Status of PC LAN Port

Does someone know how or where I can monitor or check the “actual” duplex and speed of a PC Ethernet Interface?

I like to see the values working not the configured parameter special not auto. Used are NT4, W2K and XP total 800 PC’s.

And a lot of PC’s are with fiber to the desk connected so it has to be 100Mbps. But all the error counters indicate collisions and more errors like in a collision domain.

TIA Andy

You can check the speed by clicking on the LAN connection icon on the taskbar of your PC. However I am not sure if you can check the duplex also using the same. You might want to use this document for NIC compatibilty issues.
