Hi all
If I have 3 subinterfaces for my vlans and they are on the 10.1.1.1/16 10.2.1.1/16 and 10.3.1.1/16, what netowks would I advertise in eigrp, would I need to advertise these all individually ?
thanks

I'm not sure I understand the question.
Under the Eigrp router process, you could either configure "network 10.0.0.0", which will automatically include all more specific subnets or configure the specific subnets as follow: "network 10.1.0.0 0.0.255", "network 10.2.0.0 0.0.255.255" and "network 10.3.0.0 0.0.255.255".
Hope this helps,

I think what your talking about is what route could you use to summarize these networks? Unfortunately these networks are not good for summarizing. If you had 4 networks like 10.20.1.1/16, 10.21.1.1/16, 10.22.1.1/16 and 10.23.1.1/16; you could summarize them using an inclusive summary route of 10.20.0.0/14.

If I advertised th 10.0.0.0 network then, Is it a must that I use the no auto summary command so it advertises each one of the interfaces, as if I didnt use it would it just advertise the 10.0.0.0 network and not my 10.1 10.2 10.3 etc etc ?

Configuring "network 10.0.0.0" would still get 10.1.0.0/16, 10.2.0.0/16 and 10.3.0.0/16 advertised whether you configure "no auto summary" or not.
The summarization would only occur when routes cross a network boundary.
Hope this helps,

If I advertise the network 10.0.0.0/8 then, does it just look at what ip addresses are on the interfaces and will it advertise them as /16's ?, also what diff would the no suto summary command make to this ?
