any idea to carry unrootable trafic through ip backbone

hi,

i need to carry unrootable traffic, non sna or netbios between 3 sites, each site contains two routers, a pricipal router and a backup one, the network is fully meshed with HDLC interfaces.

for the moment, a simple bridging is used between the routers to carry this traffic, but we want to stop this bridging because of the convergence time of STP.

Do you have any idea to replace the bridging? does DLSW able to carry any traffic other than sna or netbios?

While DLSw was designed especially to transport SNA and NETBios traffic, it has been my experience that it will tansport other bridged traffic as well.

Without knowing some more about your particular environment and requirements it is hard to say for sure, I believe that DLSw should be an appropriate solution for you.
