ok wierd question on a Cisco forum, I know. essentially what I am after is a rack mounted device that meets the following criteria:
1. roughly the size of a 1u-2u switch or router
2. between two and four 10G ethernet (better if a mix of RJ45 and SFP+) ports
3. able to support a variety of operating systems like DDWRT, SOPHOS UTM, or PF Sense firewall,
4. dual core CPU (or better)
5. 4GB RAM (or better)
6. 64 GB storage (preferably SSD) or better.
I know I can accomplish this with a server blade quite easily, but I was looking for something a little more compact that could fit in a standard switch cabinet at a decent price point.
