ATM link between VIP2-40/PA-A3-OC3-SMI and Cat5000 with RSM and WS-X5168 m

I have one R7507 with a VIP2-40/PA-A3-OC3-SMI and one Cat5000 with RSM and WS-X5168 module, connected with a ATM line. With this configuration, I am thinking in two posibilities:

- LANE

- RFC1483 transparent bridging

is this true? Have I any other posibilities?

Bridged RFC1483 is probably the only option you have. For LANE or SVCs you need to have an ATM switch (like a LS1010) in the middle. If you have a 5500 series switch you can buy modules for the LS1010 and build a switch within a switch. Hope this helps.
