I am connecting an IGX 8420 UXM card with OC3 single mode interfaces to a 7206vxr router with a PA-A3-OC3SMI interface. My question is do I need to attenuate the signal anywhere on this connection? On the IGX end or the router end?

Forgot to mention that the distance between the IGX and the 7206 router will only be a single-mode cable of about 60 ft.
