Hello,
I am trying to define an automated action that will email me when there is a config change on one of my devices, This works fine for routers but the catalyst switches send a different message. They send out the syslog message SYS-6-CFG_CHG when there is a config change.
I can not find SYS-6-CFG_CHG anywhere under syslog message types from automated action so therefore cannot add a command line option to run a script for it.
Is there any other way to do this?
Thanks

Hi,
You can customize or wildcard the syslog types to get
what you are looking for.
Goto: RME->Administration->Syslog Analysis->Automated Actions
Add a new Automated action, select the message type that closely ressembles what you are looking for, ie.
SYS 6 CACHE, add it then click on the Advanced Button
in between the two window panes.
Here you can use '*' as wild cards or alternate the message to ressemble, CFG_CHG.
