Backup Ethernet link to remote subnet

I have a layer 3 3750 switch which I route data to remote clients over ethernet links, each port is a seperate subnet, so on each client subnet I might have 2 servers and the ethernet port on my switch. My problem is how can I connect another ethernet link from this switch to that subnet. I was thinking of making a vlan and putting both the ethernet ports and the client connection. These links will be used for multicast data. Basically I would like this to work as a backup link, I don't particularly care about load balancing.

thanks in advance

As long as you don't care about load balancing I think you are on the right path. You could create a vlan for that subnet, put both ports in the vlan and create a SVI as your layer 3 interface; spanning-tree will put one of the ports into blocking mode and that port will act as a failover in case the other link goes down.
