Hi,
My question relates to the best practices configuration of the following scenario:
ISP Connection (VVRP)/Public Internet
/ \
/ \
ASA01 (Active 10.10.5.254) -------- ASA02 (Passive/Standby 10.10.5.253)
\ /
ESXI PASSTHROUGH WAN Accelerator /
\ /
Catalyst 4507 (L3: 10.10.5.201)
2 x Cisco ASA 5505 (running asa821-k8.bin)
1 x Catalyst 4507 (running cat4500-entservices-mz.122-53.SG1.bin)
VVRP route to the internet - ASA's cabled into the same upstream ISP switch
ESXI hosting a Citrix Branch Repeater for WAN Acceleration
What is the preferred configuration to have traffic route through the ESXi Passthrough route and then failover to the secondary route following an issue with the ASA/ESXi host
I am looking for an automatic failback also.
Thank you,
Dustin
