We have two 4006 switches:
[1] Switch#9 [4006 NmpSW 7.4(3)] is to share a section of its gigabit Ethernet module 6 [ws-x4448-gb-rj45 hw:1.0] which has been placed in VLAN 10,
[2] and switch#1 [4006 NmpSW 6.3(3)] requiring access to the "bridged" VLAN 10 on switch#9, via port 1 on one of its modules, 3, a ws-x4424-gb-rj45.
Switch#9 is in network 10.159.0.0 and switch#1 in network 203.1.128.0.
On switch#9 VLAN 10 has been set up for ports 33-48, port 48 will be the bridge port, currently set to 1000Mbps, with a cross-over cable installed and connected to switch#1 we get a status "inactive" for port 48.
On switch#1 port 1 we get a status not connect.
Weve tried different cross-over cables, undertaking a module reset on switch#9s module 6, disabling and re-enabling the bridge ports at each switch to avail, as well as disabling and enabling CDP.
Any suggestions?
My test systems, a 4003 & 2950, with a section of one of the 4003 modules VLANd [10] and bridged works fine.
