BVI1 BW 10000

First time working with Bridging. Was wondering why is my Virtual Interface only showing a BW of 10000 Kbit and all of the other interfaces are set to 100000 Kbit?

Just trying to troubleshoot a slow down and came across that. Is it auto? How can I set it? Should it be 10000 Kbit?

BVI1 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is BVI, address is 0008.a34e.d907 (bia 0000.0000.0000)

Internet address is 172.22.1.1/24

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 5000 usec, rely 255/255, load 1/255

Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set

ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00

Queueing strategy: fifo

Output queue 0/0, 0 drops; input queue 0/75, 0 drops

Thanks much!

Well, since its virtual, my suspicion is that the speed was hard coded in the

IOS waaay back when. My guess is its something that routing protocols use/need

(I'm thinking EIGRP) for metric calculation. given the load numbers, i's doubt that this is the slowdown point
