Can I Use a 2620 router for load balancing

I am pretty new to the world of networking, I am actually a s/w developer. However, I have been recently given the task to implement load balancing between 2 web servers utilizing just a cisco 2620 router.

My questions are:

1. Is this possible.

2. If so, is there any other equipment that I may need to implement this.

3. If so, is it "easy" enough for someone who has never set one up to do so.

Do I need version 12.2 and higher to implement Load balancing. From the documentation on the 2620, It seems to have v. 12.1. Will this suffice? If not, is the IOS upgradeable?

Uh, at this time, IOS SLB is only available on the 6500 and 7200.

On a 2620, I suppose you could use something like NAT rotary groups. But it really doesn't give you anything that, say, round-robin DNS couldn't give you.

If you want real load-balancing, get a hardware load balancer, or configure the servers in a cluster.
