There is a customer who is asking the possibility to "cascade" an IP address assignment. What I mean is the possibility to configure an IP address assignment for dialin user using a list of method dependent on address availabilty.
For example someone would like to assign IP address to a remote user first using a DHCP pool then using a NAS-based pool.
My idea is that this is not possible since on the NAS you can set only one mutual exclusive method to assign an IP address (using peer default command under the interface).
I think that also on CiscoSecure this is not possible.
Is there anybody could confirm or not my idea ?
Thanks

You are correct, this is not possible with IOS. In some way it doesn't make much sense, either. If you have sufficient address space to hand out, you would normally want to administer and manage this space from one location (either IOS or DHCP); it makes little sense to fragment the management of the IP space.
