Catalyst 3508 and Intel 510 interconnection

I have try to interconnect an Catalyst 3500 switch with an 1000Sx GBIC with an Intel 510 T switch with an 1000Sx insert, but this doesnt work ( the link never mount ).

Note : I'm sure the two equipement work.

Does someboby have an idea.

1. Check to see if you get link on either Tx or Rx fiber. If only one you probably have a bad strand in your patch cable. 2. Also check config to ensure it is not using 802.1q tagging or using Jumbo packet on the Cat port. 3. If each GBIC is from different OEM, try using 2 Cisco GBICs or 2 Intel GBICs.
