Catalyst 3550 Cpu Processes

Hi,

I have a catalyst 3550 and I am finding a high % of CPU is going on the VFM Queue Process. Does anyone have a idea what this process is?

I've searched the Internet and cisco.com with no luck.

Hello,

this might be a (very) long shot, but Intel has something called a Virtual Small Block File Manager (VFM) which deals with flash memory file integrity in power loss recovery situations. Check this link, or search the Intel website for VFM:

To be honest I do not really know if there is any Intel component in the 3550 at all, but then again, Intel is everywhere...
