I would like to know if changing the speed or the duplex settings of a fastethernet connection between 2 switches would affect the tool connected to the access switch, is the tool going to drop any packets ?
when you change the speed/duplex settings of your FastEthernet port, the interface will briefly go down and then up again. Hence your tool will most likely drop some packets.
