Cisco 2960X Switch Not able to reach an virtual IP Address but can reach the host

Hi team,

Please i need help. I have a physical server with IP address 10.51.1.y  and the physical server is a host to two virtual servers on IP Addresses 10.51.1.xx and 10.51.1.kk. I can reach the host (10.51.1.y on my Cisco 2960X which is a layer 2 switch but i can not get to any of the virtual servers from the switch. I can also reach other test servers IP Addresses outside this host including the test gateway IP address.

Please what or where could the problem be? Could it be on the ports where the virtual servers are connected or on the virtual server itself.

Expert prompt responses will be highly appreciated.

Just some thoughts, things to check and questions to help narrow this down.

1- Is the switch IP also on the same 10.51.1.# network?

2 - If it isn't, do the virtual servers have the proper default gateway configured?

3 - If it is, can other devices on the same network ping the virtual servers?

4 - Can the virtual servers reach (or ping) devices on and off the local subnet?

5 - Is port for the virtual server configured as an access port or a trunk port?

6 - If it is configured as a trunk port, are the virtual servers in the proper VLAN?

7 - Can you provide a switch config?
