Cisco 801 Router and Low Latency Queuing

hello,

my question regards the cisco 800er series and their qos capabilities.

i configured low latency queuing on a cisco 801 router bri interface to guarantee a portion of the availabel bandwitdh for voice traffic. for that purpose, i created a class voice with a priority queue of 64kbps (the half of the bri bandwidth). the class is assigned to a policy-map, which is assined to the bri interface (with the "service-policy output name" command).

but when i enter the "show policy-map interface bri0" command the verify the operation of the policy-map, there are no packets or bytes matched to the voice class neither the "class-default" class.

at least the output of the "class-default" class should show me matched packets.

i'm a little bit confused about that, because the same configuration works on a 1750 router.

so do the 800series router support low latency queuing in the same way other cisco routers do this? or are there additional things to keep in mind when configuring QoS on 800series routers?

does someone has experience with configuring qos on 800 series routers?

thanks in advance for your help,

mogli

Hello,

I checked the feature navigator, and it looks like the 801 does not support CBWFQ, the e.g. 831 and 827 models do.
