We are currently using Cisco VPN Client for Windows 7 connecting to Cisco ASR 1000 and Cisco 3925 Routers.

To start using Cisco AnyConnect Client with existing Routers:-

1. Will the client still work with Router IOS ?

2. What additional configuration is required if not ?

VPN client you are using is Ipsec based client whereas Anyconnect Client is SSL based VPN.

1. Will the client still work with Router IOS ? Yes 3925 supports and  you need license. Also  IOS version  15.0 & above

2. What additional configuration is required if not ? As it is totally different yes need different configuration. you will need a certificate for you VPN address . Link below have some configuration ideas.

Check for all required for Router based VPN. We are running on ASA.

What Anyconnect version can I use to work with Cisco 3925 IOS 15.x   ?

Please check your requirement and see what version would be the right for your scenario. Otherwise you can use the latest version . Such as if you need Windows 8 support then the first version which support is 3.1.04072 & later.

Please check the example using version 3.1.00495

Hi,

Thanks for additional info.

I have uploaded anyconnect pkg to router and configured as per instructions provided.

How do I download the client to windows from internet or do I have to do this from the Lan only ?   Do I just specify the gateway address of router using https ?
