Hi,

In one of our Cisco1751-V router Onboard Fastethernet Fa0/0 is suddenly stopped working. I am not able to ping the interface ip although link is showing up in router. For analysing problem I have connected Router Fa0/0 with One of th PC with cross cable but from router I am able to ping to Fa0/0 interface IP but not PC IP. and from PC I am not able to Ping to Router Fa0/0 IP. In router Fa0/0 is showing UP . I have checked with Speed and duplex parameters but none of them is worked.

Is this hardware problem? If yes then what is the solution to rectify the same. My routers both WIC slots are occupied with Serial and BRI.

Please help as this is very critical.

Check the " sh controller " for the interface and compare with a working interface parameters. When you ping, do you see input/output traffic increasing on the interface.

The sh controller output it is showing same as working interface and while pinging on that interface it is not showing any traffic.
