I was trying to pull a NX-7K to see view the line cards but I received the following error msg:
Message
Cannot find applicable device package for 128.137.255.1.
This error could be due to one of the following:
- The device package for this device type is not installed.
- Device support for this device type is not available.
- You are trying to open a component inside a device.
To correct the problem, either install a device package for the device type, or open the parent device to manage the component.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? If so, what is the solution?

Assuming you're talking about CiscoView within Cisco Prime LMS, can you tell us what version of LMS you are running? Also what exact model of Nexus 7k (7010, 7018 etc.) are you trying to manage.?
Generally speaking LMS checks the SNMP object ID (OID) of a polled device against its table of supported device. Updates to LMS itself as well as CiscoView packages introduce support for newer hardware types.
You can see the various supported devices on the LMS compatibility lists here. The CiscoView device package readme for the Nexus 7k lists the details of supported 7k chassis and linecards etc. and has instructions on how to update the package revision.

Thanks for the response, Marvin! We have several NX 7010. The ver of the CiscoView is 4.2.3.
