I'm an IT student. Last week, my instructor gave the class an assignment to find an explanation on the Class-C Zero subnet IP scheme. I have searched the internet and found one slight note but it was not enough info. Can anyone help me find an explanation on this IP addressing scheme?

your question is not clear.
What do you mean by Class-C zero subnet scheme ?
If you create subnets from a class-C, previously you could not use the subnet zero. But this is not the case anymore.
