Good Day,
I was wondering if anyone here has ever configured a cisco switch for Common STP. (1 instance of STP used for all VLANs)
I am interested because we have some Enterasys access-points used as bridges to some remote sites and their performance is not doing so well.
I believe that the most likely cause of the problem is radio frequency interference, but if possible, i would like to check all bases.
The Enterasys Access Points connects to a Cisco switchs via 802.1q trunks. I am concerned about the amount of STP traffic over the bridged links.
I would also like to verify that STP between the two is behaving itself. The Cisco switches IOS varies between 12.1 and 12.2
thanks in advance for any help

I have spanning-tree disabled on all our 3550s w/ inline power to all our Cisco Access-Points.
Also, every AP has a different channel. No performance problems, more like PEAP authentication issues when XP domain users sign in! But thats a another can of worms...

Good Day mate and thanks for that...
I very well may do that because there are no redundant links (that are supposed to be there) anyway.
thanks
