Configuring Cisco 1921 Router with PacketFence.

Hey everyone,
I’m currently working on integrating a Cisco 1921 router with PacketFence for network access control (NAC). I’ve managed to get the basic configuration up, but I’m running into some issues with setting up the correct VLANs, RADIUS authentication, or possibly connecting the router to PacketFence for device authorization.

Has anyone worked with PacketFence and Cisco routers before, or can provide tips on configuring this setup properly? Any help with troubleshooting or best practices would be awesome!

I have experience with Cisco routers, no experience with PacketFence. If you can provide some description of the environment and post what you have so far in the configuration, and tell us what is working and what is not working, then we may be able to give you advice.

I have done basic configuration and network is working fine, but i am able to ping the router ip but unable to ping the laptop ip from the router console.

Would you post the output of the command show arp from the router, and identify whether the mac from the laptop is in the output.

Is is possible that you can not ping the laptop because the firewall is running on the laptop and not permitting ping?
