Dear All,
I acquired a E1 VWIC, cisco code:VWIC-1MFT-E1.
I then later realised a needed instead a VWIC-1MFT-G703.
Is there any way I can use the existing E1 card to configure G.703?
Pls Help,

From the documentation of the box, it should support G703 and G704. There should be no problem interfacing with the box then. Check the cable you are using, check the pin out and check that you are connecting to the right interface on the box. Also, check the configuration on the VERILINK to confirm that it is configured properly for G704.
Regards.

Depending on your applications, you might still be able to use the card. What type of connection exist at the other end of the link. Note that the maximum WAN bandwidth of the card is 1984bit (2048 - 64).

The remote end is using a similar router and card and will have to contend with the G.703 issue as well.
Any way, the router (3640) is connected to the circuit using a straight-through cat 5 cable.
(The circuit terminated onto a "box" labled: VERILINK AS420 from whiched the cat5 cable from the router is then connected)
Show controller on the router indicate "Receiver is getting AIS"
Another thing, the line speed is 2M.
Pls Help
