Console serial cable for Avocent KVM

Hello

I have Avocent DSR2020 and use it to control VGA of my servers.

My question is can I use this KVM to control RJ45 Console port of Cisco NEXUS switch?

And if I can do I need some avocent module or just use RJ45 rollover cable

Hi!

I have never worked with an Avocent KVM Switch, but I do not think you can manage a Cisco Switch with that.

You can connect a casual rollover cable (RJ45) to the Console Port of the Nexus and manage it over that, then just configure SSH Access to the Nexus and manage it remotely.
