We have just installed and configured a CSS to load-balance two oracle servers. When connecting to the servers through the VIP, the application times out after "5" attempts - so the message says. The servers do not provide a cookie so we have ruled-out configuring for cookies. Can't find any documentation that might help our situation. Any ideas or directions to look is appreciated. Thanks, Lisa

Are you able to connect at all to the VIP using the protocol configured in your Content rule? Are you saying that it tried 5 unsuccessful connections? Please verify.

I believe we found our problem. It appears that the site we were trying to maintain connectivity to required us to configure the "sticky" option in the CSS. Once this was done based on source IP, we seem to be able to hold the connection. Until we put this in full production we wont know if there are other features we will need to enable. But so far, so good. Thanks for replying to my request.
Lisa
