CW2000 Path Analysis ?

I am running ver. 3.2 of path analysis – notices odd behavior – when I do trace from a Unix box to Unix box that are on the same VLAN – layer 3 info looks ok. When I do a trace form Windows server to Windows server that are on the same VLAN the layer 3 trace always shows the trace going through a router ? When I do the trace route from command prompt of the windows server it seems ok ( no hops).

Any ideas on this ?

On top of my mind, I have this: Is there an alternate route or does the windows server have two interface cards? Because, as per Cisco documentation, Layer 3 tracing does not support PCs or workstations with more than one network adapter.

Any other reasons anyone could think of.
