Hi everyone. I have a question. I work for a ISP and some days ago we faced to strange problem. Some PPPoE sessions cannot be connected. And if I will debug its mac-address, it will show this message: %SSSMGR-3-MEMORY_LOW: Memory low (2154351 times), disconnecting session.

Could somebody explain, why this message is appeared?

Than you for your response

The router you have remote into has a memory leak and the level of free memory left is at it's most critical level.

Notify the senior on the floor.

Thank you for your answer, @Leo Laohoo . And, next question, the fail of PPPoE sesions can be because of this issue?

It is a possibility but it is not for certain.

Fix the memory leak and see if the failed PPPoE sessions goes away.

BTW, @Leo Laohoo doesn't possess enough information to be certain, but low memory is bad juju for IOS operations.

Also BTW a memory leak bug often can lead low memory but some "normal" operations can too.  For the latter you need to change your operations and/or and RAM to device.
