DMZ and MZ

Hello,
I'm sure everyone knows what a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is. But I really want to know if the MZ (Militarized Zone) concept is also known.

Hi there,

I can't say I've ever come across the term MZ, but conceptually it must be a network segment larger than /30 between the ISP and first device in your AD.

Any device out there is truly in the wild west and must rely on its own configuration hardening for protection.

In context of networks, I don't recall the term "MZ" being used. But if it were, I guess it would represent both the internal and external networks.
