Drop: 18049 Encapsulation Failed

I have a Cisco 2620 with two each 2-Port Channelized T1/ISDN-PRI controllers. I'm multilinking two T1 circuits, routing IP, and bridging non-IP. I'm using PPP encapsulation instead of HDLC on the two serial interfaces and the multilink interface. When I perform the show ip traffic command, it displays Drop: 18324 encapsulation failed, 0 unresolved, 0 no adjacency

0 no route, 0 unicast RPF, 0 forced drop. What does this mean?

Also, I receive the following when I execute the debug ppp multilink events:

*Mar 6 20:14:17.129: Se1/0:0 MLP: Forwarded to wrong interface

Thanks!

HC

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.
