drops in input queue

Input queue: 0/75/860/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

last clearing was done just 90 sec back

refer to the above statement for a "show int s0/0" I have three subinterfaces. usually the traffic is on subinf s0/0.2 which carries VoIP trafic. The other two subinterfaces rarely have traffic and if at all it is very less.

serial 0/0.1 data traffic 64 kbps

serial 0/0.2 VoIP traffic 1856 kbps (Main traffic)

serial 0/0.3 data traffic 128 kpbs

serial 0/0 has a 2 mbps link connected.

queing strategy is FIFO.No gaints or runts packets.

cpu usage is normal , enough RAM .

860 drops within 90 secs is problematic.

1.Please help how I can I troubleshoot this (keeping in mind the VoIP traffic delay ).

2. Please tell me if the values for input queue is no of packets or bits or bytes.

Hello,

check the link below, it points to a step-by-step procedure for troubleshooting input queue drops.

AFAIK, the values for the input queues refer to the number of packets only and do not tell you anything in bits/bytes.
