E1 X.21 & V.35

If the PTT drops off a full E1 Structured/G.704 circuit with either a X.21 or V.35 interface for me to use---can I plug that directly into a CSU/DSU or Channelized E1 card. Will either of those or both of them take either of those serial interface handoffs?

The reason I ask is because I will only need to utilize time slots 1-8, not the full E1, even though the PTT is giving me the whole E1--so I need to be able to take the X.21 at one site and V.35 at another site and plug that into something to break it down to the appropriate port size.

Basically you need the fractional convertor. On fractional convertor you can terminate your mail link i.e. Full structered E1 can be terminated and afterwards you can configure the data port ( v.35 or x.21) for your desired speed.
