I just wonder if it is possible to erase the configuration on one FastEthernet port or any interface in one command. It is really bothersome to type "no" in front of all the config lines for the actual port, to get it back to dynamic desirable.
I have tried "no config", but that didn't work!

Hello,
try the command:
default interface
If you want to set e.g. interface Serial 0 back to its default, type:
Router(config)#default interface serial 0
The command is, AFAIK, available starting in IOS version 12.2.

Georg
