I am getting this message while trying to format a flash card.
%Error formatting slot0 (Device is read-only)
The flash card was in a 3640, but I wasn't able to erase the card. I then tried the card in a 6K switch and a 7200 router, thinking that the card was formated by a different piece of equipment.
Any thoughts on this one?
Thanks,
Aaron

Is the write-protect off for this card? It is usually a small switch at one of the narrow smaller ends of the card.

Yes. Although it was interesting that the same model of card had the switch in the opposite direction. I tried it both ways on both cards. Maybe they are just bad, but it seems weird that this would happen to two cards at the same time.
