Hi,
I have been struggling with RFC 1483 in terms of bridging between Ethernet & ATM. My Test scenario is:
CPE-A=====7200ATM-A=====7200ATM-B=====CPE-B
The configuration is:
1. Connectivity between the CPE & 72xx router is via Gig interface.
2. There is a PVC between the Core 72xx ATM routers.
3. I have configured Bridge Group on the ATM Interface & Gig INterface on the 72xx routers & these is not working.
4. If I configure a BVI Interface on both the 72xx router, the bridging is working fine. I can transparently connect the customer ethernet & transport it on the other side.
5. As Per the RFC1483, the normal ether bridging with ATM should work based on the ATM SNAP encapsulation by default.
Can somebody through some light on these or can assist me in these.
Thanks.

Do you have any routing protocol running or some sort of ip routing mechanism enabled between the core routers?

Hi,
I fixed the issue, actually i didn't disabled IP Routing globally on the router. Just configured the "no ip routing" on the router & its working fine now.
Thanks.
