EX-90 upgrade and touch panel issues

We have a couple of EX-90s operating on TC 5.1.7 and TC 4.0.4 which I am trying to upgrade to TC 7.3.12 but it doesn't appear to be working.  I have performed the upload, the process appears to go through the motions but after reboot it still comes back up showing the same older software version.  Is there something else I need to do to execute this?

The reason I am trying the software upgrade is to try and fix an issue with the 8" touch panels for these systems as they will not boot and only show the new message indicator lit and nothing else works (“!” is lit).  Suspect I can stay with the original software as long as there are no known cyber vulnerabilities with the older software.

 

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
