Hi all,

I am Planning to install a Exchange 2000

server and configure the server behind the Pix 5I5. Does any one can show me

the configuration on the pix. Thanks in advance for any help.

Just make sure port 80, 443, 25, 110, and 143 are open.

You should not need to allow any microsoft exchange ports to be open since you should only be allowing outlook for the web to run and you should be doing vpn if you want to natively access exchange with outlook.

Do i need to configure a static mapping from the

Public ip address to the internal ip address of the

Exchange server?

Yes, if you are use PAT (overload). You need a static mapping for smtp (tcp/25), outlook web access (tcp80/443) traffic. Otherwise you won't receive any mail and access the web-client from outside ...
