Fast Switching with PPP?

The switching services conf. guide 12.2 says fast switching can only be archived with HDLC on serial interfaces?

Is it true?

I have a 2600 with 12.2(11)T and "ppp" and seams to me fast switching is working properly. (saw with "sh ip cache" and "sh int stats").

I guess Fast Switching is supported both in HDLC nad PPP.

Fast switching is not supported on serial interfaces using encapsulations other than HDLC.
