Help! Cat6509 (CatOS 7.4.3) to Sun Blade Chassis (Unknown Foundry switch)

We've connected our Cat6509 with a 1gb line to a port on our blade chassis and the speeds are horrendous. Is there anyway to stupify the Foundry switch so all it worries about is basic switching? I don't need any of the fancy vlan trunks, just one line from switch to switch. Any ideas why its so slow.

Most likely, it is a compatibility issue and upgrading the NIC to the latest driver can help. Did you check for any physical layer errors? Also see link below for NIC problems connecting to Cisco switches.
