We have a 1720 with serial port and one ethernet card. Used to provide frame relay internet access to internal networks. 192.168.0.0. I Would like to provide routing to additional subnets ie 192.168.1.0 Can anyone help with configuring a 1720 router to provide addtional ip address ranges to the existing range for the serial port eg existing address 211.84.192.152 to 155 (255.255.255.252)New range 211.84.210.136 - 143 . I Would like to use the additional IP addresses to connect Qty 2 PIX501 firewall routers to connect the new subnets and provide individual and seperate internal networks

eg 192.168.(0 - 2) .0.

so, you still have 1 router with 1 serial and 1 ethernet.

You're going to attach 2 firewall to the ethernet LAN and have different internal address behing the firewall. Is it correct ?

If so, you can just use static routes.

On the router enter the following commands :

ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 pix-1-ip-address

ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 pix-2-ip-address
