Hello
i want to connect two routers through dynamic routing as RIP on first and OSPF on second.although the autonomous numbers are different on both routers along with the routing protocols,i just want to know whether it is a good approach to configure or we have to configure the same routing protocol on both the routers. Please help. Thanks

If your configuring routers in 2 different AS then why are you not using BGP? and you can run RIP and OPSF on both of the routers but that would not be necessary unless you have 2 domains that you want to keep seperate and inject only certain routes

What do you mean the autonomous systems are different ont he two routers? Are they both running BGP, with different AS'? Osr are you talking about the process ID under OSPF (which RIP doesn't have)? Or (?)...
I would say it's all going to depend on what you're actually trying to do--connect two networks which are under different administrators (such as a partner, etc), which should be done using BGP, or connecting two sections of a network you own, or (?).
